Leadership of Fayez Al-Sarraj is drawing closer to “Popular Diplomacy”
Meeting between the President of the Libyan National Reconciliation Government, Fayez Al-Sarraj, with his counterpart the Marshal Khalifa Haftar the "Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces" was taking place in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi.
A meeting of its kind on the amendments to the political agreement that was taking place in December 2015 with the support of the United Nations, which was the formation of the government of national reconciliation.
The agreement was formulated without the Marshal Khalifa Haftar which put him away from the Libyan political game as his important leadership role which controls the military forces on the largest part of the east of the country, a role that set him to be in control of the main oil ports in Libya.
The first meeting between the conflicting parties on the authority of the Libyan state was taken palace in Cairo, Egypt under a political atmosphere filled with mistrust on how to reach an agreement resulting in compromise and acceptance of Marshal Khalifa Hater within the Libyan political process.
An agreement which works on the unity of the land, the suffering of the Libyan people, the security and stability of Libya. The Political conflicts should not be extending in its full authority over the Libyan political system.
Libya has witnessed severe crises during the past period and all the solutions in the past did not result in any complete breakthrough on the Libyan political scene. Today, the head of the presidential council of the National Reconciliation Government, Fayez al-Sarraj is now in a meeting with Marshal Haftar commander of the Libyan National Army in Abu Dhabi to open the closed bridges between the East bloc And the West bloc and to take the south block between the mediator.
The patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, is an Arab sponsorship working to bring Libya closer to Libyan political and military action in full agreement with each other and finish the long-awaited crisis between the conflicting Libyan parties.
The Libyan crisis is on the way to a breakthrough with the establishment of the right foundations to ensure the stability of the security situation in Libya, and to prevent
mercenaries to enter Libya through the open border on its marinas and airports.
Shabby national security exists in the country and the exclusion of the Libyan armed militias is a must that helps the entry of terrorist groups to Libya to destabilize the security and stability of the Libyan state.
The Libyan military makes all of its effort to combat terrorism while the political proximity is to hold presidential and parliamentary elections within six months to resolve the internal political problems that should be outstanding in the emergence of the unity of the Libyan government in the Libyan political system that is integrated constitutionally.
All Arab countries are working to create a kind of mediation to bring closer the views of
the conflicting Libyan parties in this period of the history of modern Libya.
An agreement which is working to prepare the Libyan political activity to completed by the so-called "popular diplomacy" of an absolute partnership of government and within a coalition government.
