Types of Vibration Measurement Tools

Are you satisfied with the state of your operations and maintenance procedures at the moment? Do you have the infrastructure and connection necessary to conduct a vibration measurement?
Progress is frequently slowed down by a lack of funding, technical expertise, in-depth knowledge, and strong organizational support, which results in the selection of the wrong vibration measurement tools.
Vibration exposure measuremenVibration is an expression that describes the oscillatory motions that occur in a mechanical system. Mechanical vibration, especially in factories and similar workplaces, can create many negative conditions for the health of employees when exposed to it for a long time. For this reason, the relevant Ministry issued a regulation on this subject and specified the standards to be set and the limit values to be followed in terms of exposure to vibration
It is the employers' responsibility to protect the employee from the dangers that may occur in the workplace. Determining the risks arising from mechanical vibrations is one of the issues that must be met by the business owner. The business owner should set the requirements according to the results after evaluating the risks. Measurements must address the health and safety impacts of all employees. Another point to be emphasized when conducting a risk assessment is the interaction of the vibration-generating compounds with the work environment or with other tools
types of vibration
Free vibration: Occurs when a mechanical system is triggered by an initial motion, then allowed to run free by the vibration. An example of this type of vibration is when a child is pulled on a swing and then let go, or hitting a tuning fork and letting it ring. The mechanical system will then vibrate at one or more "natural frequencies" and then return to zero. Forced vibration: is when an alternating force or motion acts on a mechanical system. Examples of this type of vibration include the shaking of a washing machine due to loss of balance, vibration in transportation (caused by truck engine, springs, roads, etc.), or the vibration of a building during an earthquake. In forced vibration: the frequency of the vibration is the frequency of the force or motion applied, with the order of magnitude depending on the actual mechanical system
vibration parameters
To characterize oscillatory motions these values are used
- The amplitude shows the largest deviation from the equilibrium position in the meter
frequency of oscillations set in Hertz
Number of oscillating motions per second
The speed of the vibrations
A period of oscillation
- Accelerometer oscillation
